In many rural areas of East Africa, medical care, especially in orthopedics and trauma surgery, is far from European standards.
That's why Dr. Thomas Kühn is volunteering in his retirement to help people in Tanzania. The goal of the foundation he established: to improve the situation in the African clinics. To this end, the Kühn Foundation relies, among other things, on a transfer of knowledge by volunteer doctors from Europe, for example in the field of surgical and conservative orthopedics, keyword Ponseti.
In addition to teaching surgical techniques, the foundation's activities also include hygiene training and supplying the clinics with medical equipment, surgical instruments, medicines and consumables. We are supporting the project, which also specifically promotes the Ponseti method, with our Christmas donation this year. You can find more information at www.kuehn-foundation.com
